Art History Activity - Antoni Gaudi
Lesson By: Erica Belot at Heritage/ Juarez-Lincoln
Please watch the Mati and Dada YouTube video about Antoni Gaudi below (8 minutes long)
For your Art response:
Gaudi shows how to create a structure just using 2 pieces of paper and a book. Students and families can try this using either copy paper or cardboard. I used copy paper and a paperback book and folded the papers into thirds. I would try this with folding since copy paper won't curve well. You could also experiment with a magazine or binder on top. When you have completed the challenge, please take a picture and share it on Twitter with @CVESD_VAPA
Art gives children an outlet to express themselves and an activity in which they can create things that they are proud of. When children create and share their art, they develop self-esteem from experiencing opportunities to make something unique, expressing their feelings and imagination, and receiving praise and critique from those around them.
