Happy Wednesday Art Scholars,
I've got a fun new art adventure for you today. We are going to listen to one of my favorite books (read by the author) and then draw the character. First, let's listen to David McKee read his book Elmer
Now we are going to draw an Elephant like Elmer.
Now that you have drawn an elephant be inspired. Use the last page of the story to create your own amazing Elmer Day Parade elephant. Please share your creations on twitter @VAPA_CVESD.
Art gives children an outlet to express themselves and an activity in which they can create things that they are proud of. When children create and share their art, they develop self-esteem from experiencing opportunities to make something unique, expressing their feelings and imagination, and receiving praise and critique from those around them.
