Hey Art Scholars,
We have a great lesson for you today by Ms. Klein. Take a look at the video and activity below.
Please watch this video from CVESD VAPA department (4 minutes).
Use recycled materials like junk mail, newspapers, and magazines to create an animal themed collage.
Choose an animal that you would like to create. Look for interesting colors that might appear in your recycled papers. Either sketch out the body parts on to your recycled papers, or just start cutting. Create your main body first and then add details like eyes and ears. Add a habitat in the background.
Materials: junk mail, newspaper, magazines, glue, scissors, background paper.

Hello Art Scholars,
This week your art activity is created so you can work on it yourself or you can create as a family. There is no wrong way to do this lesson as long as you try your best. Explore your creativity and enjoy.
Art gives children an outlet to express themselves and an activity in which they can create things that they are proud of. When children create and share their art, they develop self-esteem from experiencing opportunities to make something unique, expressing their feelings and imagination, and receiving praise and critique from those around them.
